Openai Scrubs Diversity Commitment Web Page From the Site

Openai has eliminated the pages of the website used to express its commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. The URL “https://openai.com/commitment-to-dei/” will redirect to “https://openai.com/building-dynamic-teams/”. We don’t use the word “diversity.”

On the previous page, we said that the company’s “investment in diversity, equity and inclusion” is ongoing. He is also serious about this work, captured in the Internet Web Archives and cited in a 2023 CNN article, “We will continue to work on improving our work in creating diverse, equitable and inclusive organizations.” He said he was there.

It is not clear when this change was made, but there is very recent evidence. The Diversity Commitment webpage was quoted for use in ABC News Stories, published on January 22nd. By January 27th, Openai had released a new “Construction Dynamic Team” webpage.

The new page states, “Openai recognizes that the most powerful ideas emerge when tested, discussed and improved by people of various backgrounds, experiences and ideas. We challenge ideas. It encourages a culture of curiosity that can be.

Openai did not immediately respond to requests for comment regarding changes to its website. Or if it indicates that the company’s internal processes have been rolled back or changed. For example, Openai’s webpage, which promises “fairness” in model training to remove social bias, is still live.

Openai is not the only company that has distracted itself from Dei’s language, as these concrete words and the concepts behind them face recent intense political and legal backlash. Last week, Attorney General Pam Bondi instructed the Department of Justice to “investigate, eliminate and punish” DEI programs that the DEI program deemed illegal in private companies receiving federal funds.

Over the past month, Meta, Google, and Amazon have all announced the elimination or adjustments to their DEI policies. The latter published two scrubbing references on diversity and inclusion from the recent 10K form.

Openai is working with the government in several capabilities. For example, they secured government contracts and launched chatbots for government agencies.
