Singer Cara claims she was assaulted over front row seat at Bibhu Mohapatra’s NYFW show

New York Fashion Week is turning out to be just as violent as an MMA match, it seems.

After Steve Kolb was suspended from the CFDA for pouncing on PETA protesters, singer-songwriter Cara is claiming a woman at Bibhu Mohapatra’s runway show assaulted her over a front row seat.

“It got physical,” a spy told Page Six.

We’re told organizers escorted Cara to a seat that turned out to belong to an unidentified show-goer, who became fashionably irate.

“This woman was making a huge scene, insisting it was her seat and even saying she had sold her soul to get it,” our spy said.

One fashion vet even chimed in, but only to tell Cara “she was being inappropriate” for sitting in the woman’s seat.

“[Another] woman… dug her nails into Cara and physically pulled her out of the seat,” the spy claimed.

An onlooker called the whole ordeal “ridiculous,” brushing it off by saying “there was no assault or [physical] altercation.”

But Cara claimed the tussle did indeed go down, telling us she woke up with a bruise on her arm, which she claims was from the woman’s nails.

“It’s Fashion Week, not a fight club! If there’s an issue over a seat, you let the staff handle it. You don’t put your hands on someone over a front row seat. It’s simply not that serious,” she said.

The woman being accused of assault spoke to Page Six on condition of anonymity.

“I noticed it getting a little heated [between her and the other woman],” she told us, “and I just touched her very lightly [to assure her it’ll get sorted]. I was trying to be helpful and she shrieked she was being assaulted! She said it out loud, and I thought, ‘this is why I don’t go to fashion shows.’”

“The woman was horrible … None of it needed to happen. She moved to another seat and it was fine… Next time I’ll just watch online,” she added.

Meanwhile, the “Yeah WZUP” singer showed up to Frederick Anderson’s fashion show at Nebula on Tuesday covered up due to the bruise. “I have to wear long sleeve,” she lamented.
