Creating software using generator AI has been perhaps the biggest use case since it first appeared a few years ago. However, platforms like cursors and copilots are limited to worlds that are primarily inhabited by trained engineers.

Swedish AI startup Lovable reached the front page of both product hunt and hacker news last year after making it very easy to create apps using prompts. Currently, they are raising $15 million in the pre-round series led by Creandum.

A loved one can build what is called production-ready software, without the need for coding knowledge. In addition to building prototypes and websites, GPT engineers can ship fully functional web apps. He claims that he has 500,000 users currently building over 25,000 new products every day, and his finances are also growing. After scaling to 30,000 paid customers, it now reaches $17 million in recurring revenues, according to The Lovable.

These figures objectively become one of Europe’s fastest growing startups, claiming they have achieved this milestone for just $2 million from the 6.8 million euro fund that was closed last October. Masu. Angel Syndicate).

Founder Anton Osika told TechCrunch that the platform is different from competing AI-driven code building platforms.

He said the platform uses a combination of Openai, Google Gemini and humanity and is distilling it on a platform that can generate software.

“There are hundreds of commercial apps built on the platform, with at least 25,000 apps built a day,” he said.

Osica – who co-founded Lovable with engineer Fabian Hedin – said he came up with the idea for Lovable in 2023 while working on portrayal. The portrayal is backed by YC, which raised $20 million in investment from Garry Tan’s initialization. Capital, EQT ventures, North Zone, etc. Apply ML in the eCommerce store area.

Osika’s previous experiences include developing computer interfaces for use by world-renowned physicist Stephen Hawking, and working with Ex-Spacex engineers in wheelchair technology.

“We saw that there was even greater things we could do here, and we gave it to 99% of the population who didn’t know how to code access to software engineers through AI,” Osika told TechCrunch.

Lovable plans to expand integration with third-party services, such as Supabase for databases and Github for code storage.

In a statement, Fredrik Cassel, general partner at Creandum, said:

The funding round also featured angel investors such as Charlie Sonhurst (Meta Commission), Adam D’Angelo and Thomas Wolf (Hug Face) and Eric Bernhardson (Modal).
