When WFP warns that it is warning, it affects more than 400,000 people who rely on unsupplied diets.

The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) says Gaza food stocks are completely exhausted as Israeli aid lockdown continues for eight weeks.

In a statement Friday, WFP confirmed it had confirmed with its local kitchen that it had “delivered the last remaining groceries” in Gaza.

More than 400,000 people in Gaza rely on WFP aid, and if this lifeline fails, they have little relied on, and the organization’s Palestinian representative, Antoine Leonard, told Al Jazeera.

“we [local NGOs] He said. “We’re exhausted,” he said.

Since March 2, Israel has completely blocked all aid supplies, including food, medicine, fuel, and more from entering Gaza, promoting the entry of humanitarian aid in opposition to the 2024 World Court order.

The stock was in stock during nearly two months of ceasefire earlier this year, and while the ceasefire was largely exhausted earlier this year, the prices of food remaining on the open market have skyrocketed by 1,400%, according to WFP.

A report from Gaza city, Hani Mahmoud of Al Jazeera said hunger and malnutrition were widespread.

“People are hungry. They’re already distributing supplies,” he said. “It’s not just the organization, but also the family members aren’t running out of supplies.”

It’s “hard to imagine” that hundreds of thousands of families who have relied on the daily diets offered by WFP “pass by.”

The government media office in Gaza has warned that a declining food supply could push “thousands of Palestinian families” into starvation.

Fifty-two people, including 50 children, have already died from hunger and malnutrition, but more than 1 million children reported getting hungry every day.

“I can’t stand it”

Despite the humanitarian crisis, Israel shows no signs of turning the lockdown back. Last week, Defense Minister Israel Katz said Israel would continue to block aid and describe it as a tactic to “pressure” Hamas.

Israeli military has repeatedly accused Hamas of promoting aid — claims the group denied — that all supplies must be protected to prevent fighters from getting it.

But even some of Israel’s closest allies have publicly denounced the strategy. On Wednesday, Germany, France and the UK collectively called the action “unbearable” and warned it increased the risk of “starvation, epidemic diseases and death.”

Israeli attacks kill dozens of people

As the food crisis deepened, Israel’s attacks continued beyond the war-covered enclaves. At least 78 people have been killed in the last 24 hours, the Gaza government media office said Friday. This included 15 victims of the air raid at Khan Eyns’ home and a woman killed in a quadcopter attack near the Jabaria refugee camp, local media reports said.

Meanwhile, sources cited by Reuters News Agency said Hamas delegation continued to revive the expected stagnation halt meeting in Cairo on Friday.

So far, ceasefire efforts have been stuck, with Hamas insisting on a permanent ceasefire, Israel will only provide temporary trans, demanding Hamas be disarmed.

The mediator is currently working on new proposals, including a five- to seven-year truce after the release of all Gaza prisoners, and has the end of the battle, citing several sources.

Health officials in Gaza say that since the ceasefire collapsed on March 18, Israeli attacks have killed more than 1,900 Palestinians, many of whom have killed civilians and hundreds of thousands have been kicked out as Israel seized what is known as the Buffer Zone.

At least 51,439 people have been killed and 117,416 have been injured in Israel’s Gaza War since Israel began in October 2023, Palestinian authorities say.
