Travis Kelce showed support for Shane Gillis’ controversial “Saturday Night Live” monologue on social media.

The NFL star “liked” the NBC show’s Instagram video of Gillis’ six-minute monologue, during which the comedian made disparaging comments about female gym-goers.

A source close to Kelce, 37, exclusively tells Page Six that “he’s always been a massive fan of the show and he was supporting a friend.”

Page Six has reached out to Kelce’s rep for comment.

In June, Gillis made a surprise appearance at the annual Tight End University (TEU) summit in Nashville, which Kelce hosts with fellow NFL players George Kittle and Greg Olsen.

The 38-year-old joined the trio onstage and took part in the post-event celebrations after Taylor Swift’s performance.

Gillis has hosted “SNL” three times now, while Kelce made his hosting debut in March 2023. The football player and Swift also both made cameos during the Season 49 premiere in October 2023.

Over the weekend, Gillis sparked online outrage for his comments about women during his “SNL” monologue.

“I haven’t been to the gym in so long, I didn’t realize women just dressed like whores now,” he said to a mix of laughs and groans from the live audience.

Gillis then described the gymwear as “neon” and “like artificial bait color,” adding, “The wrinkles go around the cheeks and all combine at the butthole.”

“And don’t look, you’re not allowed to look. For real, don’t look because they are filming. I’m in the background of about 10 TikToks right now,” he continued.

“I haven’t been to the gym in so long, I didn’t realize women just dressed like whores now,” Gillis said.

Gillis also dropped an uncensored F-bomb during the show, and then broke the fourth wall to apologize for the gaffe.

Dan Levy was among the stars who slammed Gillis for the monologue, calling the stand-up comedian a “misogynist” in an Instagram video.

“Women wearing short shorts to the gym does not make them whores,” Levy told his followers on Sunday. “It makes the men calling them whores misogynists. There’s a difference there.”

“By the way, I’ve seen more men’s nipples at the gym than I’ve ever seen women showing their bodies off,” Levy continued. “I’m speechless that something like that can exist on live national television.”

The Emmy Award winner also declared that “more men need to be standing up in opposition” to the behavior.

“SNL” alum Ego Nwodim, meanwhile, mocked Gillis’ monologue by calling herself a “whore reporting for duty” on her Instagram Stories on Monday.

In her picture, she flashed a peace sign mid-workout in a black long-sleeve, leggings and sneakers.

Maren Morris also slammed Gillis by posting an Instagram Reel of herself giving him the middle finger, and wrote, “leave my gym short wedgie out of it.”

However, Bobby Bones raved over Gillis’ monologue on his podcast on Monday, admitting that “for the most part,” he found the bit “pretty funny.”

“He just kind of goes at it,” the radio host said about Gillis. “Got to respect that he takes chances up there.”

Gillis was previously cast on “SNL” in 2019, but he was axed within a week due to backlash over resurfaced podcast clips during which he used racist and homophobic slurs.
