Uber today unveiled a new type of account called Senior Accounts for older users who prioritize simpler app experiences, such as family ride updates, saved destinations and the ability to use family cards for payments.
Uber said the senior accounts present a simpler app experience with larger text and icons and less complicated screens. Users can toggle this mode using the accessibility settings of the app.

The company said it plans to make advanced accounts available worldwide, but it did not specify when the feature would be deployed in other countries.
Uber added teen accounts to several U.S. cities in 2023, and has since expanded to more regions and countries.
