Cameron John Waigenius pleaded guilty to hacking AT&T and Verizon and stealing large numbers of phone records from businesses, according to court records filed Wednesday.

Wagenius, a US Army soldier, pleaded guilty to two counts of “illegal transfer of confidential telephone record information” on online forums and via online communications platforms. According to documents filed by Wagenius’s attorneys, he faces fines of up to $250,000 and up to 10 years in prison hours for each of the two counts.

Vagenius was arrested and charged last year. In January, US prosecutors confirmed that the charges against Wagenius were related to the indictment of Connor Moucka and John Binns. 2024.

Is there any more information about snowflake hacking or other related data breaches? From unprocessed devices and networks, you can safely contact Lorenzo Franceschi-Bicchierai with a signal of +1 917 257 1382, via Telegram and Keybase @lorenzofb, or by email. You can also contact TechCrunch via SecureDrop.

Last month, US lawyer Tessa Gorman told the court that both AT&T and Verizon were violating “they arise from the same computer breach and fear tor and contain some of the same stolen victim information.” . She added that “these cases rely on overlapping evidence and legal procedures, and perhaps present a general question of law and fact,” and that Wagenius is involved in the snowflake violation. I checked above.

By hacking into snowflake instances, hackers stole highlands of data from AT&T, LendingTree, Santander Bank, Ticketmaster, and at least 160 other companies.
