FTC removes big technology important posts from its website

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has deleted more than 300 blog posts issued between government leaders under former chairman Lina Khan, Wired reports. These include important posts for companies such as Amazon and Microsoft about the processing of customer data.

The FTC did not respond to requests for comment.

As FTC chairman during the Biden era, Kern is known as a strict enforcer of antitrust laws and sought to hold the mega-editor accountable for the possibility of suppressing competition in the American market. In an interview with TechCrunch, she once called the leader of Big Technology “Mob Bosses.” However, during the Trump era, it is unlikely that the FTC will be wary of big technology.

Deleting these blogs could violate the law regarding how government data is processed. Meanwhile, the action coincides with the Trump administration’s ongoing campaign to remove certain words and phrases from public and private government documents. These terms include “black,” “disability,” “feminism,” “gender,” “latinx,” “LGBTQ,” “transgender,” “victim,” and “female.”
