Meet transcription is a hot commodity of all productivity suites. Companies like Clickup and Zoom have added transcriptions that include AI summaries to undertake this vertical other startup, such as Read AI, Zoom assistants, Circleback, Granola, and Otter.

The latest participant in the race to build meeting transcription tools is concept.

The company deploys AI-powered meeting note-taking capabilities to transcript meetings and provide a talk point overview later. You can also take notes while Notion’s AI is transcribing the meeting. This is a very similar feature to Granola.

This feature represents another step towards concepts that can compete with high-tech giants such as Google and Microsoft.

Like many other transcripts, Notion’s Tool uses system audio to take notes. According to the support page, AI Note Taker is currently available on MAC (app version 4.7.0). During testing, the feature was available on the desktop, but Notion said it could also be used on the mobile app.

To start the AI NoteTaking feature, go to any page of concepts and type “/Meet”.

The dialog box encourages you to obtain consent from all participants before allowing AI tools to transcription the meeting. Once you have done that, you can tap the “Confirm consent” button to start transcription.

[停止]Click to create a note-taking tool that generates an AI overview. Click the 3-dot menu and select formatting options such as Auto, Sales Call, Stand-up, Team Meetings.

The support page suggests that this feature currently works in over 12 languages, including English, Chinese, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Thai, Vietnamese, Danish, Finnish, Norwegian, Dutch, and Swedish.

The company is also chasing enterprise customers with other new features launched today, such as Enterprise Search. This will allow you to search for concepts and other apps. It also allows users to research topics and create shareable documents through AI models.

The company says it can easily use concept AI to ask questions throughout a meeting or document, share documents with others, or paste meeting blocks into another working folder.

These features follow other features designed to inform concepts in more detail than flagship notes and document apps. Earlier last year, the company launched a concept calendar and last month deployed Gmail’s AI-powered email client.
