Psy develops the first unreliable bridge from Dogecoin to Solana

Hong Kong, China, May 22, 2025, Chain Wire

Solana users can safely trade Dogecoin powered by Psy and Wormhole, tapping $360 billion in assets and its vast community for Defi, games and more.

PSY (formerly QED protocol) has developed an untrusted bridge that connects Dogecoin to the Solana blockchain. This innovation brings workplace proof security to Solana, creating Dogecoin, a Solana dogecoin, to Dogecoin, available to the Solana Dapps ecosystem.

This innovation allows Solana and Dogecoin to “speak” to each other directly, allowing each blockchain to independently verify the other’s transactions and consensus without demanding trust in third parties.

Bridges not only enhance security, but also create significant ecological opportunities. Bringing DogeCoin’s $36 billion market capitalization and a large community to Solana opens new possibilities for both networks. Dogecoin users have access to Solana’s Defi, NFT, and gaming applications, while Solana developers can take advantage of Dogecoin’s extensive user base.

Unlike traditional bridges that often rely on multi-sig signers and custodians, PSY’s next-generation proof technology directly validates the consensus of Dogecoin’s work consensus. This trust minimization approach helps address major weaknesses in crypto infrastructure. This is a bridge hack that has so far caused more than $2.8 billion in losses.

This positions Psy as a major job innovator for Solana, filling in the security benefits of the job proof with Solana’s speed and programmability. This integration shows that new proof chains of work like PSY can interact with high-performance blockchains without sacrificing security or requiring a centralized intermediary.

The bridge continues the PSY protocol’s mission to enable developers to build hyperscalable Web3 applications and host the next generation of distributed internet.

The bridge supports standard Dogecoin wallets and exchange deposits.

“We have worked hard to find ways to better serve the Doge community, and now we have the opportunity to provide them with even greater utility for their dogcoin,” said Carter Feldman, CEO of Psy Protocol. “This demonstrates our commitment to combining best-in-class security with user demand with an established developer base.”

Lily Liu, president of the Solana Foundation, said: “Bitcoin’s beloved pet, Doge embodies the fun and indecent spirit that drives on-chain culture. By bridging Doge to Solana’s network, we invite the Dogecoin community and all OG crypto enthusiasts to participate in the marriage of the chain culture and decentralized finances.”

“Untrustworthy verification has always been the sacred grail of interoperability, but achieving it on a large scale remains elusive,” says Robinson Burkey, co-founder of Wormhole. “When I see Psy and Wormhole come together and build this around assets like Doge, Doge captures the true cyberpunk spirit of Crypto. I’m excited to help bring the $36 billion worth of assets to Solana.

How the bridge works

The bridge captures and validates each Dog Coin Block header in Solana. The block header contains essential blockchain data, including previous block hash, timestamps, difficulty targets, Merkle routes for all transactions within the block, and proof of work consensus algorithms. By directly verifying these headers with Solana, the system encrypts the validity of Dogecoin transactions without intermediary.

When a user sends a Doge to the bridge, the system validates the Dogecoin blockchain deposit and creates an amount equivalent to Solana’s Qdoge token. To convert, the Qdoge token is burned in Solana and sent firmly via the wormhole cross-chain messaging protocol, triggering the original Doge release to the user’s Dogecoin address.

To enable this bridge, PSY has created a set of infrastructure for developers.

TXINDEX: A fully functional indexer for DogeCoin with simple handling of forking behavior Electrs-Doge: Dogecoin Doge-SDK’s first open source block explorer: Dogecoin Forkr’s first JavaScript SDK: An easy-to-use tool for simulating Bitcoin and Dogecoin fork/Reorg.

About the PSY protocol

PSY is a leading innovator in next-generation proof technology on its mission to restore the principles of security and decentralization of blockchains while enabling modern scalability. PSY bridges the utility gap between proof of work and proof of stakechain, allowing developers to build hyperscalable Web3 applications, and provides a reliable alternative to the centralized Internet controlled by a small number of technology monopolies.
