Spotify has increased the price of its subscription plans in the U.S. for the third time in three years, increasing monthly plans from $11.99 per month to $12.99 per month.

The company sent an email to paying users informing them of the new price. This price will apply starting with your next monthly billing cycle.

“Updating market-wide pricing from time to time allows us to reflect the value Spotify provides, continue to deliver the best experience possible, and benefit our artists,” the company said in a blog post.

In November 2025, the Financial Times reported that the audio platform plans to increase prices in the US in the first quarter of 2026. According to the report, JPMorgan analysts predicted that the price increase could add $500 million to Spotify’s revenue.

The company implemented similar price hikes in markets such as the UK and Switzerland last year.

Spotify will raise its prices for the first time in the U.S. in 2023, going from $9.99 per month to $10.99 per month. In June 2024, we increased prices by an additional $1 per month on individual subscription plans.

According to its Q3 2025 results, the company has more than 281 million paying users worldwide, 25% of which are from North America.

In addition to the US, Spotify is also raising prices in Estonia and Latvia.
