Facebook launches new monetization program to attract popular creators from TikTok and YouTube

Facebook announced Wednesday that it is launching “Creator Fast Track.” It’s a new program aimed at helping creators grow on Facebook, guaranteeing rewards and expanding the reach of their content. The social network also shared that it paid out nearly $3 billion to creators through its monetization program in 2025, an increase of 35% from the previous year and the highest annual total ever.

The idea behind the new monetization program is to entice creators who have a following on other platforms to start posting on Facebook. Rather than starting from scratch on a new platform, creators can use this program to expand their reach to targeted reels and accelerate follower growth. Plus, you’ll get 3 months of guaranteed rewards when you share eligible Reels on Facebook.

Creators in this program can earn $1,000 per month if they have at least 100,000 followers on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, and $3,000 per month if they have at least 1 million followers on any of these platforms.

The program also allows eligible creators to earn money from their posts even after the Creator Fast Track program ends, as they don’t have to meet the platform’s usual standards such as minimum follower counts and have instant access to Facebook’s content monetization tools.

“We wanted to address creators’ concerns that onboarding to Facebook to build a community from scratch and grow their following is a difficult path,” Yair Rivne, Facebook’s vice president of creator products, said in a briefing with reporters. “So we launched this program to address that.”

Rivne said the company will continue to support creators if it takes more than three months to build an audience on Facebook. The financial bonus only lasts three months, but Facebook will continue to expand your reach until the company determines that the creator has found an audience on Facebook.

“You don’t have to create entirely new content that is exclusive to the program to meet the initial submission requirements,” says Rivne. “Obviously, we want you to bring your latest and greatest work, but if you have a great back catalog of greatest hits, we’d be happy to have that as well. That fits the criteria of the program. We’re really excited about this. This addresses a lot of the feedback we’ve heard from existing creators that we were trying to attract or were interested in joining.”

As part of the announcement, the social network shared that the number of creators earning more than $10,000 annually on Facebook has increased by more than 30% year over year. Additionally, 60% of Facebook’s total payments to creators last year went to Reels, with the rest going to Stories, photos, and text posts.

Facebook also announced that it is introducing new metrics to help creators better understand their revenue.

The new “Eligible Views” metric shows creators how many views their content has the potential to earn them. Rivne explained that there are several reasons why a view might not qualify. For example, if someone watches a creator’s video for just one second and then swipes away.

The new Yield metric shows approximate revenue per 1,000 qualified views, and the Non-qualified views metric provides detailed analysis of why certain views are ineligible and what creators can do to improve revenue from future content.
