Amy Adams wears Brandon Maxwell at Cape Fear premiere with family

Amy Adams attended the Cape Fear premiere in Los Angeles on Tuesday night with her husband and daughter Darren Le Gallo and Aviana Olea Le Gallo, power-dressing like Brandon Maxwell.

The six-time Oscar-nominated actress wore a look from the namesake designer’s fall 2026 ready-to-wear collection. The maxi dress features a billowing bodice with long sleeves, a high rounded neckline, and cinched cuffs, contrasting the fluidity of the look.

A thick black belt at the waist defined the silhouette and added color contrast. Designed in jersey-like fabric, the dress’s skirt is long and streamlined for an A-line fit. Adams added pointy-toe black heels to complement her look’s black belt.

When it came to jewelry, the actress was mostly minimalist, with the exception of hoop earrings and a statement ring. Her auburn hair was styled with a side part and cascading waves. Makeup highlights included bold brows, lined eyes, and glossy lips. Stylist Petra Flannery curated Adams’ red carpet look.

The actress’ husband and longtime partner Darren Le Gallo also appeared on the red carpet, sporting a casual red carpet look in a knit short-sleeved shirt, tapered pants, and gray shoes. The couple’s teenage daughter, Aviana, wore a sleeveless body-con baby blue dress, which she paired with point-toed white pumps.

Adams’ dress debuted during New York Fashion Week in February 2026. In contrast to the runway show, Maxwell “returned behind the camera to create a fall collection video with Jack Shanahan, Jesse Price, Image Partnership and more,” according to Emily Mercer’s collection review.

“His collection was filled with quiet yet powerful moments that needed to be seen closely, visible through striking bonded velvet jackets and glamorous overprinted and pleated viscose satin dresses that would look great on any red carpet,” Mercer wrote.

Based on the novel “The Executioner” by John D. Macdonald, “Cape Fear” follows a couple, Tom and Anna, played by Patrick Wilson and Adams, as Max Cady, a notorious murderer from their past played by Javier Bardem, returns to their lives and seeks revenge. The miniseries will premiere on Apple TV on Friday.
