Cynthia Erivo, the face of avant-garde nails, switched up her eccentric and ever-changing aesthetic for her version of the minimalist set at Variety 2026 Power of Women. There, she received the inaugural Power of Women London Award, celebrating her singular artistry, authenticity and social advocacy.

Her nail extensions were a regular length, about 2 inches, with a thick French tip design that flipped between classic white and a soft steel blue. The almond-shaped tip of her ring finger and the opposite index finger are engraved with two micro-hearts in the same shade of blue, highlighting the hue of a Vivienne Westwood plaid wrap suit styled by Jason Bolden and John Mambro.

The two-tone French tips were a particularly demure choice for Erivo, who has worn every nail shape, color, and adornment under the sun, often at once. Her “Wicked” nails, on the other hand, were a physical representation of her character’s persona, dark and layered with intricate embellishments that paid homage to the movie’s motifs. In almost every set, her nails were decorated with different colors, designs and textures, from metal foil to opalescent glass, on which beads, gemstones and sea glass were glued. These nails are the brainchild of Shea Osei, also known online as @clawzbydior, and 20-year-old Mycah Dior. But Elvio only worked with Osei to bring Wednesday Night Nails to life.

Osei shared a close-up photo of the design on Instagram, revealing some subtle quirks. Each nail had a variation of the French tip, including 90’s French with OPI, deep cut French, old school French, and classic “U” French.
