Teyana Taylor shows off her straight hair transformation at Chanel dinner

Teyana Taylor switched it up at Chanel’s annual Tribeca Festival Artist Dinner in Lower Manhattan on Monday night, following her conversation on the Storytellers Series featured on “Through Her Lens” over the weekend.

The “One Battle After Another” star started off with a curly pixie cut outside the Tribeca Grill, posing alongside the likes of Kiki Palmer, Camila Morrone, Ayo Edebiri and Cole Escola.

Her short, coiled layers were hidden beneath pin-straight extensions and white frames. Created by hair artist Nikki Nelms, the slicked-down ends parted in the middle evoked celebrity stylist and fashion enthusiast Law Roach’s signature aesthetic. However, Taylor’s extensions were noticeably shorter, ending just below her breasts. Angled sunglasses are placed firmly on her face, so only her brown lip and clear gloss combination are visible. Removing the shades revealed her bronze and amber eyes, full lashes, bright concealer, and lightly flushed cheeks.

Fashion-wise, Taylor paid homage to household norms by layering a sheer white blouse and two-tone tweed skirt set under a pink tweed jacket, paired with a maroon and white square-toed slingback and matching handbag. After dinner, the New York native changed into head-to-toe Knicks memorabilia and replaced the NBA finalist in Game 3 of the championship series.

Taylor has been favoring sleek extensions over natural cuts lately, and she debuted her longer extensions for the first time in an Instagram post over the weekend. A merry-go-round of photos revealed the “All’s Fair” star flip-flopping between two textures, straight and wavy, and two lengths, long and extra-long, on a beach in Cabo for her stepfather’s birthday. Posing with her family, Taylor wore it down to her thighs, with the tips barely touching her knees.
