Taylor Swift is playing around with her style.
The 36-year-old Grammy Award-winning artist updated her straight, muddy blonde hair with hidden details at the Toy Story 5 premiere in Los Angeles on Tuesday night, celebrating her new song “I Knew It, I Knew You,” which is featured in the film.

From the front, Swift appeared to be sticking to her usual aesthetic, with her hair down and bangs cropped just above her eyebrows. However, a slight turn to the right revealed a two-inch braid tied loosely and tucked behind her ear. The delicate embellishment took most of the layers surrounding her face off her cheeks and drew attention to her diamond-encrusted hoop earrings.

It was clear how much of a brunette Swift has become as she posed alongside Casey Walden, daughter of Disney president and chief creative officer Dana Walden, and producer Asma El Fassi. What was once a mop of bleach-blonde curls is now a melting pot of caramel and honey browns, thanks to Swift’s longtime hairstylist Gemma Muradian, whose client list also includes Sara Bareilles.
For her makeup, the “Midnights” vocalist enlisted celebrity artist Laurie Turk, who is famous for enlivening her beauty during the shoot for her album “The Life of a Showgirl.” Of course, the appeal, consisting of millennial-coded wings and red lips, wasn’t all that ordinary.

But Swift took a slight sartorial risk, wearing a quirky patchwork Erdem minidress with a corset and unfinished hem trim. The design, styled by Joseph Cassel Falconer, also featured off-the-shoulder sleeves and multicolored floral embroidery down the center. For shoes, Falconer paired hers with brown satin open-toe heels from Alevi Milano.

Elsewhere on the Ruby red carpet, Greta Lee paid homage to beloved cowgirl Jessie, brought to life by Joan Cusack in all five pieces, in a red and white spherical one-shoulder gown taken straight from Christian Dior’s Spring 2026 Couture runway. She also continued her mid-length micro-fringe era, which was cut and styled by Jenny Cho. Micro bangs have recently climbed the viral ladder, establishing themselves on almost every major red carpet last year.
