Elle Fanning brought the Altuzarra drama to “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Thursday in New York City.
The Oscar-nominated “Sentimental Value” star turned to the New York City-based luxury fashion label’s fall 2026 ready-to-wear collection for her late-night look. Fanning brought dimension to the look by wearing a maxi dress with a V-shaped curvy neckline and fluttery sleeves that accentuated her shoulders.

The fitted bodice of the black dress transitioned to a cinched waist with a belt and metal hardware to define the silhouette. The skirt flows from the waist in a semi-sheer fabric, adding contrast to the look and allowing for ease of movement while maintaining the overall elegance.
Fanning accessorized her outfit with a gold Cartier bracelet. She is Cartier’s global brand ambassador and the face of the jewelery label’s Grain de Café collection.

As for her glamour, Fanning’s hair was styled in a center part and worn straight down by Jenda Alcorn. Her makeup included clean, gentle elements, from soft brows to a neutral, glossy lip by artist Erin Ayanian Monroe. The actress’ look was supervised by stylist Samantha McMillen.
Joseph Altuzarra’s Fall 2026 collection made its runway debut as part of New York Fashion Week in February 2026. According to WWD’s review of the collection by Emily Mercer, the collection focused on “reworking ordinary objects for the modern woman’s wardrobe, with a personal twist and a nod to the ’90s.”

“His biggest category, Altuzarra’s dresses, studded with tubular pom-pom fringe and anatomical body prints, updated this season with shadows of bugle beads and sequins, conveyed a sense of ease and excitement in equal measure. Everyday elegance came through through layers of romantic Chantilly lace and soft ruffles beneath his rich leather and shearling outerwear,” Mercer wrote.
