Reese Witherspoon praises Elle Woods on ‘Tonight Show’

Reese Witherspoon went full-method in her latest Elle Woods-inspired look for an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Monday night in New York City.

The Oscar-winning actress, who is currently promoting her upcoming series Elle, wore a bright sleeveless pink midi dress that channeled the wardrobe style of the 2001 film Legally Blonde. Witherspoon’s dress was made from crepe-style material with a supple V-shaped neckline and a form-hugging silhouette.

The body of the dress is almost fitted, but the skirt is pencil-shaped for ease of movement. The standout element of Witherspoon’s look was the white feather strappy heels that the actress wore to add a playful energy to her overall look.

When it came to jewelry and accessories, Witherspoon opted to keep things mostly minimal with the exception of delicate earrings, dainty rings, and a tonal bracelet that only served to complement the pink hue of the actress’ late-night outfit.

Witherspoon’s glamorous makeup look featured makeup by Tracy Levy, who gave the actress’s features bold eyebrows, smokey eyes, and glossy lips, and hair styling by Rona Maria Visi, who styled Witherspoon’s blonde hair in a side part and soft waves. Stylist Petra Flannery curated the actress’ look with help from Lauren Mock.

Throughout the Elle press tour, Witherspoon has worn several looks co-ordinated by Elle Woods. Earlier Monday, the actress stopped by “Good Morning America” ​​wearing a vintage Chanel number. This skirt suit look originated from Karl Lagerfeld’s 1995 collection during his reign as creative director of the French luxury fashion house.

“Elle” is a prequel series to the 2001 film “Legally Blonde,” which depicts the formative high school years of Elle Woods, played by Lexi Minnettree. The series will be available on Prime Video on July 1st.
