Janet Jackson added a sentimental touch to the ’90s pop star’s glam look at the 2026 BET Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday night.

The longtime entertainer wore low-rise, wide-leg pinstripe pants with a slightly oversized fit. Jackson’s shoes were hidden by the cuffs at the bottom of her pants, and the rest of her look recalled authentic ’90s layering elements and other details.
Jackson added a pinstripe white dress shirt to match the pants. The “Feedback” artist wore a gray T-shirt with “2Pac” embossed in a bluish-gray font over a collared dress shirt. The T-shirt pays homage to 90s rapper Tupac Shakur, with whom Jackson co-starred in the 1993 film Poetic Justice. 2026 marks 30 years since Shakur’s murder.

Jackson added more accessories and statement pieces to her outfit. The artist wore a black corset element at the waist under a thick black and silver belt, recalling the style sensibilities of the 90s and early 1990s.
