Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are scheduled to wed Friday night at Madison Square Garden, according to a law enforcement official briefed on the security plan.
Officials said the celebrations will begin with a small rehearsal dinner scheduled for Thursday night. The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly about the incident.
Speculation about the superstar singer and the football player’s wedding has ramped up in recent days, following weeks of unconfirmed reports that it would take place over the July 4th weekend at one of New York’s iconic landmarks.

Crews were unloading equipment from trucks outside Madison Square Garden this week. A large carpet was temporarily pulled up outside one entrance and quickly removed.
Despite The Associated Press reaching out to Swift’s representatives for comment, including on Wednesday, nothing has been publicly confirmed by the couple.
At a news conference Wednesday, New York City Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch said police were tracking the event scheduled for Friday at Madison Square Garden, but did not provide further details.
“Obviously the NYPD will work out the details, but I won’t go into any further details at this time,” Tisch said.
New York City Mayor Zoran Mamdani also confirmed that a permit had been applied for a large event. “We are fully prepared,” he added. “There’s nothing more to share than that.”
