The tool is currently only available to subscribers with the ChatGPT Pro plan, which costs $200 per month. Although it can only be used on dedicated web pages, the company says it plans to make operators available to all ChatGPT clients. The operator runs in a separate browser window (which the user can control at any time) to complete the task.

In this area, companies such as Google, Anthropic and Rabbit Construction Agents can perform similar tasks. However, Google’s projects are still on the waitlist, Anthropic can access the agent interface via the API, and Rabbit’s action model is only available to users who own the device.
