VidCon returns to Anaheim this year. There are plenty of new surprises in store for fans and content creators alike.

The event is scheduled to run from Thursday, June 25th to Saturday, June 27th, and includes a full schedule of non-stop meet-and-greets, mentoring sessions, informative speakers, and interactive events for attendees.

Last year’s VidCon marked YouTube’s 20th anniversary, so the event honored early YouTube legends like Hank Green, Rhett & Link, Grace Helbig, Tyler Oakley, and Smosh co-founders Anthony Padilla and Ian Hecox. YouTube pioneers were celebrated and recognized at VidCon’s first annual Hall of Fame ceremony.

This year’s VidCon looks a little different. This event focuses on the broader content creation industry beyond YouTube.

The three-day itinerary includes something for everyone, including opportunities to meet your favorite creators, informative sessions on content creation, and interactive events like GorillaCon and pickleball.

VidCon 2026 kicks off right away with the first-ever GorillaCon event on Thursday morning. What is GorillaCon? This is a live event celebrating Gorilla Tag, described by the VidCon website as the world’s most popular virtual reality game.

At GorillaCon, attendees will have the opportunity to celebrate becoming a “Monke” in the 3,000 square foot VidCon Expo Hall. GorillaCon tickets include access to autographs and photos with Gorilla Tag creators, merchandise, prizes, raffles, and auction priority for “Crazy and Rare Monke Artifacts.”

AI and content creation

This year, VidCon will tackle an important theme in the content creation industry: how content creators can use AI and AI-powered tools.

The title sponsor of VidCon is POP.STORE, an agent AI commerce platform that enables creators to track follower analytics and sell products without relying solely on social media platforms.

The platform also includes a tool called ECHO-ME. This helps you adapt to the voice of individual content creators and stay true to your followers and brand deals. POP.STORE will be exhibiting ECHO-ME at this year’s VidCon.

The VidCon schedule also includes several informative sessions on AI and content creation, from the future of branded content to how content creators can use AI tools and AI reliability in content creation.

Special benefits for VidCon, creators, and Pro Pass holders

This year also includes a wide range of new benefits across different ticket tiers. VidCon Passholders will experience a new Live Podcast Studio, where featured creators record live podcasts, and a Community Zone, where fans gather for meet-and-greets and performances.

This year, Creator Pass holders will have access to Creator HQ, a new space to collaborate with other creators, as well as new exclusive networking tools and Creator Meetups.

Pro Pass holders have access to the VidCon Speed Networking event, the first-ever VIP Expo Hall Party, and Think Tank 20, where attendees can gather in groups of 20 to explore topics in depth.

Minority Pro Pass holders can also participate in the invitation-only VidCon Brand Match Accelerator, which includes one-on-one meetings with top creators and decision makers.

All VidCon attendees will also have access to new sports courts, a newly expanded gaming zone, and VidCon’s Street Fest, a massive celebration featuring food trucks, live music, and dancing.

Attendees can also look forward to some familiar favorites, including a pickleball tour and a Hall of Fame induction ceremony with new members Marcpurie, Phillip DeFranco, Michelle Phan and Kathy Ho.

Mashable will be at VidCon 2026, covering the creators, trends, and conversations driving internet culture, from breaking news and creator interviews to industry insights and live updates.
