The All-Party Congress Group for Events (APPG) will be holding the new council’s first council dinner next week.

Congressional dinner, held in the House of Representatives on May 6th, will be hosted by Telford’s MP and APPG Chairman Shaun Davies, to bring together MPs offering several services, along with new APPG groups and APPG corporate members.

These include representatives from Beam, Scottish Event Campus (SEC), Event Hire Association, Experience Oxfordshire, Raccoon Media Group, and The Association of Event Venues (AEV).

Other guests include representatives from the Culture, Media & Sports Department, the Bureau of Business and Trade, Visit Britain, ICC Wales, and Industry Think Tank, and Events of Events.

Operating since 2011, the APPG is the voice of the UK events industry at Westminster, working to increase the value and profile of the sector with MPs, government ministers and policymakers within Parliament and across Whitehall.

The APPG is managed by Events Business, an Industry Think Tank that also serves as a special advisor to the group.
