Apple on Monday announced the latest version of its affordable iPhone series. The iPhone 17e retails for $599 and will be available on March 11th.
This smartphone is equipped with the A19 chip found in the base iPhone 17 and supports Apple Intelligence. The base model comes with 256 GB of storage, which Apple says is double the previous generation’s entry storage.
One of the most notable changes from previous budget iPhones is the addition of MagSafe and Qi2, which supports up to 15W wireless charging.
The smartphone is available in black, white, and a new soft pink color.
Additionally, iPhone 17e features C1X, Apple’s latest generation cellular modem, which the company says is up to twice faster and uses 30% less power than the C1 modem in iPhone 16e.
As for the camera, the iPhone 17e has the same 48-megapixel camera as the iPhone 16e. The smartphone’s Fusion camera enables 2x optical quality telephoto, giving users two cameras in one, allowing them to get closer to their subjects and easily frame shots, the tech giant said.
This smartphone shoots videos that can be recorded at up to 60 fps in 4K with Dolby Vision. It also records video with spatial audio for immersive listening with AirPods and Apple Vision Pro.

iPhone 17e supports emergency SOS via satellite, roadside assistance, and Find My.
The smartphone is made with 30% recycled content, including 85% recycled aluminum in the housing and 100% recycled cobalt in the battery.
