After spending more than a week headlines due to a seemingly inevitable social media scandal, the data operation startup astronomer is about to shift the story with a tongue video starring actress and entrepreneur Gwyneth Paltrow.

Paltrow, of course, was previously married to Coldplay singer Chris Martin. And then, at a Cold Play concert in Massachusetts, the company’s CEO Andy Byron and Chief Human Resources Officer Christine Cabot are dancing together on “Kisscam.”

Martin joked as Byron and Cabot (who are reportedly married to others) tried to awkwardly to hide from the camera.

The exchange footage exploded in popularity, and in the end, both executives resigned astronomers. When announcing Byron’s resignation, the company said, “Our leaders are expected to set standards in both conduct and accountability, and that standards have not been met recently.”

The astronomer’s statement nodded to the fact that the company suddenly became famous for reasons that had nothing to do with its products.

That new marketing video has a similar message, seeking to refocus astronomers’ conversations about technology, and admitting in the winter that it could be a challenge.

Paltrow kicks things off by introducing himself as someone “very temporarily employed and hired on behalf of more than 300 astronomer employers.” She then promises to answer the “most common” questions asked about the company, but the half-question you get a brief glimpse is what you know.

“We are excited that many people are taking a renewed interest in automating data workflows,” she says. Paltrow even finds time to plug in the company’s upcoming meetings before closing, “We’re going back to what we’re doing best now and delivering game-changing results to our customers.”
