Police have video accused the 26-year-old woman, prompting widespread accusations.
An Australian nurse is charged with committing death threats and other crimes in videos that appear to be showing by hospital staff who boast to kill and refuse treatment for Israeli patients.
New South Wales police said Wednesday they had charged the 26-year-old woman three crimes, including using carriage services to threaten violence and death against the group.
NSW Police Commissioner Karen Webb said that the woman named Sarah Abu Lebde in local media would leave Australia and use social media as part of “very strict” bail terms. He said it was banned.
Webb said the woman is scheduled to stand up to Sydney’s court on March 19th.
The announcement comes after footage of two staff members at Sydney Hospital bragged about hurting Israeli patients earlier this month, prompting widespread criticism.
In an online video chat shared by Israeli content creator Max Weifer, Abu Lebde is said to have told influencers that he “kills them” without dealing with Israeli people.
The video also appeared to show that the male hospital staff said they had sent many Israeli patients to the Arabic word “Jahanam” in hell.
The man identified as Ahmad Rashad Nadir in a local report has not been charged with the case.
Health officials have banned two hospital staff from working “in all circumstances and in all contexts” in an incident that Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese labelled “disgust, embarrassing, shameful.”
Health officials say they have not found evidence that the patient was negatively affected.
Australia has been caught up in a wave of anti-Semitic incidents over the past few months, including suspected bomb plots and several arson attacks on synagogues.
Advocacy groups surged both anti-Semitism and Islamophobia cases when Hamas launched a multifaceted attack on Israel and Israel on October 7, 2023, and Israel launched a war in Gaza. I’ve reported it.
