GRAZ, Austria (AP) – Investigators found farewell letters and a non-functioning pipe bomb when searching for the man’s home I fired Police said Wednesday that they killed 10 people and took their lives at a former school in Austria.

Police did not elaborate on investigator findings in a brief post about Social Network X. However, a senior official who admitted that the letter was discovered Tuesday night said he was not allowed to draw a conclusion.

“We have found a farewell letter in analog and digital format,” Franz Luff, director of public safety at the Austrian Ministry of Home Affairs, told ORF Public Television. “He bids farewell to his parents. However, he cannot deduce his motivation from the farewell letter. That’s a matter of further investigation.”

When asked whether the attackers randomly attacked the victims or specifically targeted them, Ruf said that they were also under investigation and did not want to speculate.

He said the injured people were found at various levels in the school and in some cases in front of the building.
