Beam announced the winners and two runner-ups of the Crispy Cock Young Champion of Change Awards at its annual gala dinner held at the Grand Hotel in Birmingham on February 7th.

The award celebrates young professionals who have a prominent impact on the events, conferences and hospitality industry.

Lily Bear Taylor, who booked access, won the Chris Peacock Young Champion of Change Award

Her contributions to operational efficiency, supplier relationships and community involvement made her stand out.

Taylor said: “I wanted to thank the judges. I know the caliber of participants was really high, and as our industry peers continue to implement change across the sector, we are able to make enduring efforts to my industry peers. I look forward to seeing and experiencing the impacts of this.

“We are pleased to announce that our conference care principal and managing director, Andrew Deakin, “We are pleased to announce that we are a great opportunity to help you.”

He added: “It embodies the award spirit through her professional achievements, her passion for the community, her advocacy for the LGBTQ+ community, and especially her work at Pride Events. Chris will be extremely proud.”

Lucy Newman from Intel was named his first runner-up in recognition of his leadership aspirations, adaptability and commitment to sustainability.

She played an instrumental role in launching a new division at Intel, promoting operational efficiency and demonstrating deep commitment to environmental and community initiatives, including beach cleanup. The judges praised her as a “who sees the future.”

Tori Smith of Edgbaston Park Hotel secured second runner-up and was recognized for his strategic approach to business growth and dedication to team development.

“The future of our industry will be bright and people like Lilybea, Lucy and Tori will shape our paths,” said Julie Shorrock, retired chairman of Beam.
