Chase Infinity favored archival styling in a custom GapStudio dress by Gap Inc. Executive Vice President and Creative Director Zac Posen at the BET Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday night.
The “One Battle After Another” breakout star wore a dress inspired by Gap’s archival Happy Stripe sweater from its 2000 holiday campaign. The dress offers a new variation on the sweater’s original knit with photo-realistic digital printing, transformed into an ultra-light and soft stretch mesh fabric that recreates the sweater’s unique colors, textures and dimensions.

The long-sleeved, form-fitting dress featured a diamond cutout at the waist and a short, infinity-like train. “I’ve always loved revisiting Gap’s most iconic design codes and thinking about how we can make them feel new again,” Posen said in a statement.
“Happy Stripes are one of our instantly recognizable signs, optimistic, colorful and full of personality. By reimagining them as photorealistic digital prints on sheer stretch mesh, we were able to maintain that spirit and transform it into something unexpected,” said Gap’s Executive Vice President and Creative Director.

Infinity’s glam featured soft elements, from makeup by Amber Dreddon to natural hair styled by Corey Moreno. Statement earrings were added to the Infinity look, styled by duo Wayman Bannerman and Micah McDonald.

The 2026 BET Awards, hosted by comedian and internet personality Dolski, took place Sunday night at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles and celebrated the breakthrough Black creatives of the past year. The annual awards ceremony honors writers, musicians, filmmakers and more, and celebrates and uplifts Black culture. Singer Lauryn Hill won the Living Legend Icon Award, and “One Battle After Another” Oscar nominee Teyana Taylor won the Icon of the Year award.
