China criticizes the US ban on Harvard international students

Bangkok (AP) – Beijing’s Trump administration on Friday Move to ban international students From Harvard it would harm America’s international status, and a university in Hong Kong has sought to exploit the uncertainty by committing to incorporating them.

“Related actions by the US side only undermine their own image and international credibility,” she said.

She added that China firmly protects the rights and interests of Chinese students and academics abroad, but did not provide details on how to do that in this situation.

Hong Kong University of Science and Technology has expanded the invitations that have already been published to international students at Harvard University and hospitalized international students. The institution has posted a news release that will provide unconditional offers, streamlined admission procedures, and academic support to promote a seamless transition.

Some Chinese people joked online about opening a branch to the university in Harbin, a city in northeastern China.
