Coventry Building Society Arena partners with Planet, a global leader in integrated software and payment solutions, to enhance payments for over 12 million visitors.

Home to the Coventry City Football Club, the Arena features 194 POS integrated terminals at public kiosks and more than 200 Planet-provided payment devices, including 30 mobile devices in lounges, restaurants and executive boxes.

Mobile solutions allow staff to order and pay at once using Oracle Simphony POS, which integrates directly into each payment device.

Planet’s mobile payment solution provides the arena with the flexibility to move devices between the stadium and the event space. This is perfect for venues with busy, changing calendars.

It will expand to all of the arena’s businesses, from conferences, conferences and exhibitions to matchdays, major concerts and their on-site hotels.

Deployment is fully enabled on all major card types, mobile wallets, Alipay+, Amex and Discover/Diners, and is supported by Planet’s acquisition services, providing a complete end-to-end payment and point-of-sale solution.

Paul Michael, managing director of Coventry Building Society Arena, said: “This level of integration sets new standards for high-tech venue experiences and supports the delivery of busy schedules for busy events throughout the year.”

Planet CEO Colin Close said: “By integrating payment technology with Oracle Simphony, Coventry Building Society Arena has helped optimize staff efficiency and significantly improve our fans and customer experience.
