As part of the DRPG 45th anniversary ceremony, CEO Dale Parmenter and Groups UK Marketing Team are undertaking the charity Sea The Sea Challenge as part of their continued commitment to giving back.
DRPG has set the goal of completing 45 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects throughout the Milestone year, and this challenge is one of the most demanding and well-known initiatives.
Over the four days of May, the team will walk, canoe and bike over 220 miles along the Severn River, starting in the mountains of Wales and reaching its peak at the Severn Bridge.
This challenge supports four carefully selected charities: Needs, All Wheels, Creative Futures and Severn Rivers Trust. These charities were chosen for their efforts to positively impact the community, support the inclusiveness of cycling, protect environmental resources, and promote the next generation of creative talent.
The purpose of this challenge is to set £5,000 to the total charity at £20,000 by the end of the 45th celebration in June.
Permentor said: “At DRPG, we believe in pushing boundaries. There are ways to contribute to our community as well as professional projects. SeaTo Sea Challenge is an opportunity to raise awareness and important funding for organizations that make concrete differences in communities and industries that are very close to the heart.
He added: “It’s also a great way to celebrate 45 years of DRPG business. For me, the Severn River and its routes have retained countless memories and importance throughout my career and family history, making this journey even more special.”
DRPG marketing and engagement lead Alex Cottom joins the canoe parameters for its water-based route. He said: “It is truly an honor to take on this challenge with Dale as part of our 45th anniversary, supporting four incredible charities that make a real difference in the Midlands and beyond.
He added: “One thing is for sure. This effort has a lasting impact. We are here to join, donate and support our incredible network at every stage.”
