Duchess Kate returned to her familiar silhouette in a custom Patrick McDowell look as she attended the Order of the Garter Service, which celebrates the highest order of chivalry, at Windsor Castle in England on Monday.

The Princess of Wales’ bespoke ensemble by the British designer included an off-white satin coatdress with short lapels and padded buttons down the front. The garment hugged her midsection and then flared out over her hips. The fabric, lined with delicate floral embroidery, was woven by Stephen Walters and Sons in Suffolk. Middleton layered a pure white tulle skirt underneath, adding volume to the slim silhouette.

Let’s take a closer look at Duchess Kate’s ensemble.

Middleton accessorized her long dress with a matching ivory wide-brimmed sun hat with a thick ribbon tied around her head. An oversized hat covered her face, hiding dark eyebrows that covered her taupe smokey eyes, lightly flushed cheeks, and a pop of pink on her lips.
Her hair was tied in a twisted half-up, half-down style, and Middleton’s dangling earrings were on full display. The pear-shaped diamonds, decorated with oak leaf handles, are similar to the custom Robinson Pelham earrings her parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, gave her on their wedding day in 2011. Removing the diamond from the jewelery vault was a tribute to Middleton’s husband Prince William on their 15th wedding anniversary.

The elegant ensemble was completed with Middleton’s signature matching clutch and pointed-toe pumps. White heels have been a particular favorite in her wardrobe lately, and on Saturday, Middleton appeared to be joining in on the “white hot” shoe trend.

Attending Trooping the Color, she wore crisp leather pumps by go-to shoe designer Gianvito Rossi. Classified as a Gianvito 105 design, these handcrafted Italian shoes gave a delicate touch to her Catherine Walker Lafayette coat dress with a sleek 105mm stiletto heel.
