Last year, privacy-centric consumer technology company Duckduckgo launched a subscription plan that bundled VPN services, personal information deletion and identity theft repair. The company said Thursday that the subscription will allow users to access the latest AI models via duck.ai without paying additional fees.
The Duck.ai chatbot is free to use and users can access models such as Anthropic’s Claude 3.5 Haiku, Meta’s Llama 4 Scout, Mistral Ai’s Mistral Small 3 24b, and Openai’s GPT-4o Mini.
Duckduckgo’s $9.99/month plan allows users to access new models such as Openai’s GPT-4O and GPT-5, Anthropic’s Claude Sonnet 4, and Meta’s Llama Maverick.

“These big models are better to follow detailed instructions and maintain context through extended chat and provide deeper, more subtle responses. Duck Duck Go Subscription offers a way to use some of these models, but also increase privacy,” the company said in a post.
This is a good opportunity for those who want to access the latest models without sticking to a single provider. Alternatively, Quora’s Poe also offers access to the model’s bouquet. You can purchase POE subscriptions starting at $5 a month.
Duckduckgo says it will continue to add costly plans to pay products that offer “larger, more advanced models.” You did not specify whether the current plan has usage restrictions.
