Ellie Goulding channeled modern dark glamor with a soft edge in a look by Matthière Fécard for the 2026 Serpentine Summer Party in London on Tuesday night.

The “Lights” singer incorporated the look into the Paris-based avant-garde luxury fashion label’s spring 2026 ready-to-wear collection. Golding wore a black structured top with off-the-shoulder straps and ruffle elements at the neckline and arms.
The top was cinched at the waist to emphasize the silhouette, and was paired with wide-leg pants in a toned tone. As for accessories, Goulding wore earrings, a ring, and a watch courtesy of Chopard. She also added a sparkling diamond necklace to complement her other glittering jewelry.

Creative duo Hannah Rose Dalton and Stephen Raj Bhaskaran’s Spring 2026 curation of Matiere Fécaret aimed to tone down the French label’s dark sartorial elements. “A lot of people see us, and maybe our community, as very tough, gothic, scary, ugly. All those words are things we hear all the time. So for us, this was just about showing beauty,” Dalton said, according to a WWD review of the collection by Joel Diederich.
Dalton himself opened the Spring 2026 presentation and made his runway debut during Paris Fashion Week in September 2025.

Throughout the collection, Diederich writes, “there was a delicate beauty in the subtle layers of tulle thrown over an ivory bomber jacket, the cummerbund trailing behind a sheer black tuxedo shirt and pants, or the blush satin slip worn with a winged headdress, one of several great hats designed by Stephen Jones.”
Other notable items included a tweed skirt suit that “looked like it had been shredded.”
