Excel and Levy UK & Ireland, UK’s leading sports and entertainment caterer celebrates its 25th anniversary by releasing a new mini-documentary series entitled “The Pass in the Back.”
Filmed earlier this year during a 3-day intense filming, the four-part series offers unprecedented insight into the planning, preparation, pressure and joy of catering for major events.
The series focuses on delivering high-end banquets for 4,000 delegates, behind the scenes from start to finish.
Produced by Aircraft Media, the series is inspired by the popular Netflix documentary, and a teaser trailer was released today.
Episode #1 behind the pass refers to a key area of the kitchen where the dish is confirmed, airs on May 21, with the remaining three episodes displayed in Excel and Taxation Channel over the coming weeks.
The series also explores the personal passion and career experience of Levi’s chef and catering team, showing us the vast number of Excel staff and suppliers involved in just one 24 hours.
Levi’s executive chef Trevor Hand is one of the stars of the new series, saying, “Food plays a key role in enhancing the experience of any event, creating guests and lasting memories. It will also help hundreds of hours of planning and personnel deliver high-end events.
Late last year, the two further strengthened their 25-year partnership by announcing their multi-million pound commitment to future investments and innovation.
At the heart of this is the latest dining experience in Excel’s new look at Waterfront Entertainment District (Immerse LDN), entitled Waterfront Street Kitchen & Bar.
Additionally, Levy will expand its food and beverage offers perfect for Excel’s new 25,000 square meters expansion, focusing on offerings for high-end, modern and sustainable cuisine, and will continue initiatives such as carbon food labeling, at least 50% plant-based menus, and 100% recyclable or reusable packaging menus.
