Formula E extended its contract with Excel London until at least 2026, with the ABB Fia Formula E World Championship being able to continue using the world’s first, only indoor and outdoor racecourse until the end of the Gen3 Evo era.
The expansion is expected to host the final race of the Season 12 calendar. There, 22 drivers can compete for world championship titles for drivers, teams and manufacturers. Fans will also witness the final British appearance of the Gen3 EVO car before the new Gen4-Spec models arrive in the second half of 2026.
The Abb Fia Formula e World Championship has been racing at the Excel London Exhibition Center since 2021.
Nearly 50,000 fans packed the venue over the weekend in the finale of Season 10 in July last summer. There, Pascal Wehrlein claimed his first World Championship victory by Pascal Wehrlein of the Heuer Porsche Formula E-team.

Damian Norman, director of Immersive Entertainment & Events at Excel London, added:
He added: “It was also an honor to have Excel and London hosted the season finale of the championship, and British fans witnessed the world champions of motorsports crowned in British soil. We also developed an incredible collaboration with Formula E, from setting the Ginness World Indoorland Speed Record, to power the event using 100% renewable energy and ensuring that we are using 100% renewable energy in 2026.”
“We’re looking forward to seeing you in the world,” said Alberto Longo, Chief Championship Officer of Formula E. “We are delighted to expand our relationship with Excel London, the perfect home for Formula E over the last few years.
