Glasgow’s SEC is trying to welcome the global fitness phenomenon, Highlocks

The Glasgow SEC is preparing to host its third Hyrox event from March 12-16, welcoming thousands of athletes and spectators to one of the world’s fastest-growing fitness contests.

This year, the venue was chosen as one of four global locations along Hong Kong, Amsterdam and Las Vegas. High Rocks Elite 15 – Major races will be held.

Of the 19,000 competitors participating, five SEC staff (Chris McConnell, Gemma Roxburgh, Jacqueline Elder, Mark McElwain and Charlene Stafford) compete in their hometown soil.

The elder stated: Competing in your hometown or workplace is an incredible opportunity. We can’t wait to experience the electrical atmosphere that makes Highlocks so special. ”

Highlocks continues to expand globally, with events from 11 countries captivating elite athletes and everyday fitness enthusiasts. Combined with driving and functional workout stations, this competition is further amplified by the passion of the audience, providing a high-energy, immersive racial experience.

Competitors travel from all over the world, including New Zealand, the US and Spain. It will greatly improve the city’s hospitality sector when exploring Glasgow hotels, restaurants, bars and attractions.

Angela Smith, the new business director at the SEC, highlighted the impact of Highlocks.

“We’re looking forward to seeing you in the process of doing things,” said Amber Ruddle, Head of Marketing at Hyrox. The SEC is an incredible venue, the perfect setting for Highlocks, offering the Scottish community an incredible opportunity to compete in their own home turf. ”
