Halle Bailey styles new Peabody Award-winning Ilkaz Ozelle

Halle Bailey brought youthful elegance to the 2026 Peabody Awards Los Angeles red carpet on Sunday night in a dress courtesy of Ilkyaz Ozer’s “New Arrivals.”

The “Little Mermaid” actress wore an obsidian dress by Chez Castel for the red carpet occasion. Crafted in black with a body-hugging silhouette, the maxi dress features a halter neckline and plunging neckline, with cutouts just below the bust and above the waist.

The bodice is form-fitting and features a peplum detail at the waist to give the look even more dimension. The A-line skirt under the peplum gave the dress a healthy elegance and balanced the contemporary design.

When it came to accessories, Bailey opted for delicate pieces. She wore panoramic earrings by the brand Fope and completed her look with a necklace, bracelet, and delicate ring. Bailey’s hair was in an updo and makeup highlights included bold eyebrows, lined eyes, and glossy lips. The “Angel” singer’s look was curated by Byron Javar.

Established in 2019, Ilkyaz Ozer’s new show has become popular among several prominent stars. Halle Bailey, Heidi Klum, Halle Berry and Hailee Steinfeld are among the celebrities who have worn items from this luxury fashion label.

Ozelle’s “The New Arrivals” includes red carpet dresses as well as ready-to-wear items such as tops, skirts, and pants. The label also offers a variety of other shoe styles, from mules to stilettos.

Bailey was joined by many other stars at Sunday night’s Peabody Awards, including Mandy Moore in a Rodarte design, Yara Shahidi in Loewe, and Poppy Liu in Rachel Gilbert.

The 86th Peabody Awards, held Sunday night, recognized outstanding public service in television, radio, podcasting and online media. The 2026 winners included Jimmy Kimmel, Amy Poehler, and PBS Kids. Television series honored Sunday night included “The Pit” and “Rivals.”
