HBX Group has announced the acquisition of CivitFun, a Spain-based hospitality technology innovator.

This strategic investment has put HBX Group on a step further into its ongoing strategy to simplify its travel ecosystem and empower Hotel Partners with next-generation technology.

By combining the HBX Group’s global reach and marketplace capabilities with integration with CivitFun’s technology infrastructure spanning over 3,500 clients from 60 PMS platforms and 36 countries, the partnership is set in a new era of connected, data-driven hospitals.

HBX Group and CivitFun will develop a platform for intelligent hotel solutions to enhance guest experiences, optimize operations and unlock new revenue streams for hotels. The roadmap includes expanding capabilities in areas such as contactless check-in and check-out, enhanced hotel and guest communications, and flexible upselling and cross-seller options.

HBX Group Hotel Partners now has access to CivitFun’s best-in-class online check-in features, remotely available at the front desk at the URL and on-site, allowing guests to complete their check-in seamlessly without waiting in line.

“We’re looking forward to seeing you in the future,” said Nicolas Huss, CEO of HBX Group. “We chose to invest in CivitFun as the technology really makes a difference for hotels and guests. The goal of the HBX Group has always been to simplify complex processes and help hotel partners grow.

Mariano De Oleza, Managing Director of CivitFun, commented: “Together, joining the HBX Group Family is an exciting milestone for us. We will create new opportunities for hotels around the world, from smooth online check-in to the possibilities of upselling and cross-selling.”
