US President Donald Trump announced a major military attack on the Hoosis a few weeks ago.

The US has previously targeted Kamaran Island and Malibu provinces before carrying out more airstrikes in Yemen’s capital Sanaa.

No details about the victim have been provided yet.

In Sana, two US airstrikes targeted Attan’s area. This has been managed by the rebel movement since 2014. The US airstrikes also reportedly targeted the ASIR region sanitation projects and the Furwah Neighborhood and popular markets in the Shoub district, according to Houthi Media.

Sunday’s strike came the day after the US launched 13 strikes at Hodeida’s ports and airports, also three days after the fatal attack that targeted the RAS ISA ports at Hodeida, killing at least 80 people and injuring more than 150 people.

The area owned by Hooty in Yemen is being subjected to almost a day’s airstrikes by Washington. Civilians were targeted, families were wiped out, military sites were destroyed, soldiers were killed.

More than 200 people have been killed since US President Donald Trump announced a major military attack on the Hoosis in March. It said the airstrikes aim to force the group to stop threats on ships sailing in the Red Sea on routes essential to international trade.

Since November 2023, Houthis reportedly has launched more than 100 attacks on ships that it says are related to Israel in response to Israeli war with Gaza and solidarity with the Palestinians.

Houthi’s attack paralyzed the transport through the Suez Canal. The Suez Canal is a key waterway where around 12% of the world’s transport traffic normally passes, forcing many businesses to resort to costly alternative routes around South Africa’s Cape Happiness.

Houthis halted its attack on the transport lane earlier this year in a two-month ceasefire in Gaza. However, they vowed to resume their strikes after Israel renewed its attack on the enclave last month.

The Houtis, also known as Ansal Allah or “God’s Supporter,” appeared in the 1990s, but became prominent in 2014 when he seized Sanaa and forced President Abd Love Mansour Hadi to flee the country.
