South Africa defeated England with seven wickets in Lahore to reach the semi-finals of the Champions Trophy while eliminating Afghanistan.
Rassie van der Dussen led South Africa to the semi-finals of the Champions Trophy by winning 72 with 7 wickets, defeating the bottom of the table.
Van der Dussen’s half-century highlighted South Africa’s clinical performance on Saturday, finishing on the second Australian and Afghan Group B, the second being eliminated.
Protea finished 181-3 with 29.1 overs in response to an unfortunate effort of 179 (38.2 overs).

Captain Aiden Marclam did not bat after suffering a hamstring injury while fielding.
Klaasen finished with 64 off-56 balls for 11 Fours before being kicked out of Adir Rashid (1-37) near the finish line.
