According to a report by Houthi-Afiliated Media, four strikes collided with the runway and the Yemenia Airlines plane.
Israel says it launched airstrikes at Sanaa, the capital’s main airport in Yemen, the day after Yemeni Houthi rebels fired two projectiles at Israeli.
Houthi-Abiliated News’ Al Masirah TV reported on Wednesday that four strikes had collided with the runway and the Yemenia Airlines plane.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said Wednesday that the Israeli Air Force struck a “terrorist target” at the airport and “destroyed the last remaining aircraft.”
“This is a clear message and a continuation of our policy. Anyone who fires in Israel will pay a huge price,” Katz said.
The latest Israeli attack on Yemen comes just after Houthi’s armed groups fired two projectiles at Israel, which had been fired down by Tel Aviv air defense. Houthis later confirmed that he had fired two “ballistic missiles.”
Yemen’s largest Sanaa Airport returned to service last week after temporary repairs and runway repairs following previous Israeli strikes.
It was mainly used by UN aircraft and only civil aircraft of Yemenia Airlines after the smashing of three other people in the final attack.
Since Israel launched its war with Gaza in October 2023, the Houtis has repeatedly targeted Israel, and what they say is solidarity with the Palestinians in the enclave.
This is a developing story.
