According to a new report in the Wall Street Journal, Jeff Bezos apparently is trying to capitalize on the recent explosion between President Donald Trump and Elon Musk.

According to reports, Bezos spoke with Trump twice this month. Blue Origin CEO Dave Limp also visited the White House to meet up with Trump’s Chief of Staff Susie Wiles. Bezos even reported that he invited Trump to his upcoming wedding in Venice, Italy.

The interaction with the White House comes after Musk and Trump spent days throwing mud at each other on social media. The founder of SpaceX claimed that the president was “in the Epstein Files,” which was why they were “not publicly available.” Meanwhile, Trump threatened to steal “billions and billions of dollars” from government subsidies and contracts with mask companies.

That feud quickly cooled, but Bezos appears to have felt an opportunity for blue origin, especially after Trump pulled Musk’s preferred choice nomination to lead NASA. Musk has pushed hard to concentrate SpaceX (and NASA) on missions to Mars, but Blue Origin’s short-term plan focuses on missions to the moon. According to the report, in a recent conversation, Trump “discussed Bezos and his desire to see the crew’s mission to the moon during his term.”
