India defeated Pakistan with six wickets in Dubai and left its rival on the brink of elimination from the Champions Trophy.
Virat Kohli’s unbeaten century put the hosts of the cricket tournament in the danger of early exits as India won the Archbishop of Pakistan in a group A clash at the Champions Trophy with six wickets.
Kohli reached 14,000 runs in ODI on his way to the record 51 hundredth floor as India finished 244-4 in 42.3 overs in Dubai on Sunday.
Schreyas Iyer scored 56 out of 67 balls as he and Kohli put 114 runs from 128 balls for the third wicket.
Previously, Kuldeep Yadav scored 3-40, and Pakistan won the toss and was bowled out for 241 in 49.4 overs after picking the bat.

Saud Shakeel scored a top score of 62 off from 76 and shared a 104 run stand with skipper Mohammad Rizwan (46).
Awarded player for the match, Kohli has nurtured the latest milestones from 111 delivery.
“It feels good to hit that way, especially in such an important game.
“I have to control the middle over and don’t take risks against the spinners while taking on the Pacers. I was happy with the template. That’s how I play in ODI.
“I have a decent understanding of my game over the years. It’s about keeping the noise and distractions outside. I try to stay in my space as much as possible. Pay attention to my energy levels and thoughts. Do it. It’s easy to be drawn into the frenzy of games like this.”

Despite Pakistan hosting the tournament, the rivals met at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. India plays league matches and potential knockout matches in the United Arab Emirates.
For Pakistan, all remaining group stage matches will have an unlikely outcome progression.
“We won the toss, but we didn’t benefit from the toss,” said Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan. “Their bowlers bowled very well. Saud Shakeel and I wanted to go deeper into it.
“[Just] Poor shot choice. They were under pressure on us. Whenever you lose, you don’t run in every department. I wanted to squeeze it down [them]but we couldn’t.
“We need to improve our fielding. There were a lot of mistakes in this match.”
