Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James left the game with a gro caliber injury with a 10-point loss with the Boston Celtics.
Jason Tatum scored 40 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists, helping the Boston Celtics defeat the Los Angeles Lakers 111-101 visiting in a game where LeBron James finished the contest with an injury.
Jalen Brown added 31 points and six rebounds to the Celtics. The Celtics received 14 points and nine rebounds from Alford between the two NBA winning franchises in a blockbuster conflict on Saturday night.
James, who had 22 points and 14 rebounds for the Lakers, left the game with 6:44 remaining gro caliber tension in the fourth quarter and did not return.
James, 40, told reporters that the injury will be treated “everyday,” adding that he “is not much concern.”
Luka Doncic led the Lakers with 34 points and eight rebounds. He attempted five of his 10 three-point attempts.
The Austin Raves were the only railer to score in a double figure with 16 points.
Los Angeles scored 22 points in the second half, but was within four points after two Doncic free throws played 96-92 at 5:06. However, the Lakers were unable to get close and Boston was able to pull away to secure a victory.
The loss ended the Lakers’ eight-game winning streak. They fell to third place in the Western Conference with a 41-22 record.
Boston improved to 46-18, finishing second in the Eastern Conference and lagging behind leader Cleveland for seven and a half games.
