City Face Real Madrid Next Tuesday and February 19th with two knockout playoffs. The winner will play either Atletico Madrid or Bayer Leverkusen in the 16th round.
Speaking to reporters on Friday ahead of the city’s FA Cup clash at Leighton Orient Saturday, mayor Pep Guardiola said:Game’s foot [at Orient] We’ll be back to Manchester early and come back after we start talking [about Real Madrid].
“Of course I’m looking to Madrid, but Leighton Orient deserves my attention. It was always the case, otherwise I’d have had the FA Cup semi-finals over the past five or six years. You won’t get the amount of finals.”
New signatures, also included in Champions League manager Pep Guardiola’s team, are midfielder Nico Gonzalez, who can support Rodri, and forward Omar Marmash and defender Abdukozil Kusanov.
Guardiola said Gonzalez, 23, who signed the transfer deadline on Monday, was “really important.”
The former managers of Barcelona and Bayern Munich added:
“I know he was working here with the Barcelona Academy and his father. I’m really pleased with the efforts that the club will take him here next year.”
