Meta reportedly has acquired two more famous Openai researchers

Openai researcher Jason Wei reports Wired citing two sources familiar with the issue as he joined Meta’s new Superintelligence Lab. Another team member, Hyun, will win Jung and will also be able to participate in the Meta.

Sources told Wired that both researchers’ internal Openai slack profiles are currently deactivated.

Wei and Chung will be the latest grabs in Meta as CEO Mark Zuckerberg works to keep up with race or super intelligence to AGI by seducing top technology talent with an astonishing compensation package.

The main focus of WEI at Openai was O3 and the deep search model. He came to ChatGpt-Maker after working on the Chain of Saboris research on Google. Chung, who overlapped with WEI on Google, worked on Deep Research and Openai’s O1 model. His research focuses on reasoning and agents.

Sources told Wired that the two have a close working relationship, which may be why Zuckerberg scooped them both. Like the British drafter of World War II, he appears to like to bring about the groups he worked with.
