The nominations are open to 2025 Mearists as the Conference Industry Association (MIA) prepares to celebrate the sector’s finest talent. It continues to be a tradition that began in 2011.
These awards highlight the extraordinary talent in the industry that has raised bars for organizations and business meetings and events sectors.
This year, nominations are open in a record 15 categories, the most in Mearist history.
Two new categories have also been introduced in 2025. Both the Executive Leader of the Year and the Innovative Chef of the Year will be announced at the awards ceremony held at Belfry Hotel & Resort on November 6th.

With the exception of individual titles exclusively for MIA members, nominations are welcomed from within the UK business meetings and events sector or related persons, and are free to participate in the nominations.
The appointment is assessed by an expert panel of judges across all reach of the sector. For all teams and initiative awards, there will also be additional jury phases that will be subject to a popular vote, where finalists are weighted by the panel.

The award will be announced after the Trade Association’s MIA meeting. The nominations will close at 23:59 on June 13th, with the list of candidates being announced on July 24th.
