The Eurostar service has been suspended and thousands have been stuck as mine clearances at Gare du Nord station in Paris.

Thousands of passengers from France and Britain are stuck after a World War II bomb was discovered leading to Paris’s main stations.

Eurostar, the operator of high-speed trains traveling between major European cities, announced on Friday the cancellation of all services with the hub in the French capital.

A spokesman for SNCF, a French national railway operator, said an unsolved World War II bomb was discovered while working near Gare Du Nord station.

A spokesperson said services will be allowed to resume only after the French police have completed the “mining clearance operation.”

Gare du Nord is a major European transport hub that serves international destinations in northern France, such as London. Brussels is the capital of the European Union. Netherlands; major Paris airports and many local destinations.

The bomb was discovered around 4am (03:00 GMT) by workers working to move the earth near the tracks in the Seine Sendennis area. The mine has been sent to the site and its operation continues.

Philip Tavaro’s Minister of Transport was hoping that the chaos would continue, at least for the day.

The bombs left behind from World War I and World War II are regularly found around France, but they are rarely found in such dense areas.

“Optional Limited”

The impact quickly spread across the French border. In Brussels, trains to Paris have been cancelled until at least Friday afternoon.

“There is no solution. Michel Garrott, a retired Parisian visitor to the Belgian capital, told The Associated Press.

At St. Pancras Station in London, travelers looking forward to the charm of Paris discovered their plans had been shattered.

“We’re looking for flights, but our options are limited,” passenger Lauren Romeo Smith told the Associated Press.

In Paris, traveler Kasman Ibrahimi told Reuters that he had planned to take a train to Cologne, Germany, but is now looking for another route.

French Rail Operator SNCF said Gare Du Nord usually sees 700,000 travelers per day, making it Europe’s busiest rail hub.
